Description
Schooner Isabella
The Schooner Isabella is a wooden gaff-rigged schooner modeled after the hundreds of fishing schooners built on Cape Ann in the early to mid-1800s. The boat was crafted between September 2005 and September 2006 at the Burnham boat yard on the Essex River, next to the Essex Shipbuilding Museum. It was docked in Gloucester when I took this picture which reminds me so much of home again in Brittany, France, and my deep connection to the ocean.
